Overview

The Kindergarten operates a free-flow approach so that the children are encouraged to make choices regarding how and where they spend their time. The large open-plan space is divided into different zones, with each member of staff planning activities for their area for a week at a time. These zones are: Construction, Art, Home Corner, Cooking, Graphics and Small World. Children also have access every day to the sand and water trays, playdough table, painting easel, book corner and computers and tablets.

Focus Times ensure that each child spends a structured session with their key teacher to focus on a range of learning experiences every day. The teachers evaluate the activities on a daily basis during a planning meeting at the end of each morning.
