Thomas's Clapham occupies a site between Wandsworth and Clapham Commons. It is a Grade II listed building, which was built between 1904 and 1908 to house the Clapham County Girls' School.

The facilities at Clapham include large, bright classrooms, three fully equipped Science Laboratories, a Library, Gymnasium, two dining rooms and a magnificent galleried Main Hall. Three Music rooms, six practice studios, a Drama studio, a state of the art ICT suite, girls' and boys' changing rooms (including showers and disabled facilities) and a lift were all newly built in 2001. Within the grounds there is a separate Art, Pottery and Design Technology centre. Children in Reception have purpose built classrooms, each with their own outdoor space, in a block designed to meet the needs of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The two-acre site affords ample parking and playground space, four netball and tennis courts, cricket nets, football practice areas, a climbing wall and a large climbing frame. There is also a garden with lawn and fruit trees. The school's home fields are the Richard Evans Memorial Playing Fields, Roehampton Vale, SW15 3PQ. Clapham Common and the Wandle Sports Centre are also used. Swimming lessons take place in local swimming pools. Weekly church services are held at St Luke's Church.

The majority of children attending Thomas's, Clapham live locally.
